Nuku’alofa 16 September – The Plaintiff, ‘Etuate Lavulavu, the CEO of 88.1FM / Tonga Chronicle received on the 15th September, received the Court’s Order for the hearing on the 11th September 2026 as follows:
The Court’s ruling on the Interim Order is currently reserved under Justices Garlick, Tupou, and Bishop, who will collectively determine whether the order will be extended, varied, or discharged. In the interim, the Plaintiff shall be permitted unhindered, remote access to the Press Conference. The Court will subsequently evaluate the nature of the Plaintiff’s participation, including the questions submitted and responses received, to inform its final determination regarding the Interim Order.
